I was watching Solange’s video for “Losing You” and fell in love with the overall atmosphere. I wanted to create a look reminiscent of it but with a more bohemian vibe, and this is what I came up with. I wanted to add pops of color with accessories rather than going for something all-over, so I grabbed a scarf I found at a local vintage collective and these gorgeous dangly earrings I found on Etsy (I wear clip-ons and there’s a great little shop called Clip or Die). The flats were a great find, only $3 at a thrift store chain–vintage Enzo Angiolini, soft leather, square toes. The warm, golden yellow is quite versatile; you’ll see them again in future posts. Though the main outfit is neutral, there are some details to keep it interesting. The shirt is silk and has those little notches in the front, and I love the cuffs on the shorts. I found both of those at my local Salvation Army. Of course, to top it off I had to fluff up the curls I was born with. I added some fuchsia to my lips as well; I pressed the color on very lightly so it looked more like a stain. I felt very carefree and natural in this.
