To me, there are few things as pleasurable as a clear blue sky, sun shining down on me, a brisk breeze…and a great view.
While my high-rise residence isn’t a lot to write home about, one of its redeeming features is the rooftop terrace that’s open 24/7/365. I decided to shoot the second “20,000 Leagues Below…” look up there. I’ve shot past looks in this same location, but the nice thing about doing it in winter is that you are significantly less likely to be interrupted by other rooftop revelers. In the summer months, forget having much privacy outside of the early morning hours. I’m not shy about what I do, but I’d prefer to not have to work “around” other people to make sure I have the shots I need.
Anyway, thankfully on that day, given the chill in the air, I had all the solitude I needed. I was a bit miffed that I didn’t have plans that day, though–this look was too cool to have no one else see it. But that’s what I have you all for, Honeymooners. 🙂 Now that the weather’s finally turning around, you’ll be seeing me on a more regular basis very soon!
